I wrote the lyrics to this song based on the book, The Red Princess-The Quest for Atlantis. It’s a children’s short bedtime story that I thought would be fun to turn into a video and a song. My step-daughter was dancing around to it. I jigged a little be too.

We used to spend every holiday stuck in traffic at the B.C. Ferries terminal or stuck in their parking log. I think we spent more time there than with family. Now we stay home for Thanksgiving and enjoy life on the island. We enjoy walks on the beach and time to relax and read or listen to audio books.
If you’re looking for an audio book, then check out my audio books for children, middle grade, and adult listeners: In Canada on Audible or in the USA on Audible. They are also available on Amazon world wide.
Happy Canadian Thanksgiving to all.
Well the weather outside is frightful, but writing again is delightful so let it rain, let it rain, let it rain… or snow depending on where you live. lol
So, I am quite excited that I have started to flesh out the story line even more for a special edition in The Silver Spurs Series. It won’t be out until Christmas (2024) but it is really coming together. As I have written before, I suffered a serious brain injury which has sidelined me for a few years, but I am working at overcoming it through various techniques – mostly art therapy. The focus on this novel will be the kids, all grown up now, during a crazy Christmas escapade. I have changed the name to Runaway Christmas from Who Killed Santa. It will be a gut-busting funny sleigh ride of a read. Of course, it wouldn’t be a cozy without a murder or two. You’ll just have to wait and see.
On my Amazon author’s panel, I can read reviews that readers leave. There haven’t been any new ones for months and all of a sudden 15 new reviews popped up for the Gumboot & Gumshoe and Silver Spurs Series. They really touched my heart. Guess I better stop being retired and write the two books I had planned, one more in each series. I am doing a bit better after a brain injury left me with the ‘wobblies’ as my gran would call it. Will give it my best. Thank you to all for being so patient. It has been a rough journey.
Well, it is February 22nd and it is snowing here on Vancouver Island. I have been catching up on my reading list with a lap blanket and a cup of tea. Love my tea. I have recently been reading quite a few paranormal cozy books. Have also been reading some Joy Fielding, Dean Koontz, and Tricia O’Malley.
If you are a Kindle Unlimited member and are getting snowed in like I am today, give one of my books a boo. I have middle grade and teen horse stories for ages 8 – 14 as well as my adult funny cozy mystery series. Here is the link to my Amazon Central .com.
Stay warm. Read lots. Hot cocoa with Baileys is a pretty good substitute for tea too. lol
Much of 2023 is going to be focusing on recording the audio books for the last two books in The Gumboot & Gumshoe Series, mainly Gertrude & The Sorcerer’s Gold and Chasing Santa, as well as the last two books in The Silver Spurs Series, Bandits, Broads & Dirty Dawgs and Who Killed Cade. The final book in the latter series is still a work in progress as I wasn’t happy with the original story line and am reworking it. I am also thinking of changing the title.
I plan on illustrating The Unicorn Daze Series. I have had several requests from readers. These novels are currently written in an easy to read play format and I will probably revise that formatting. This may take me into 2024 as that is a lot of paintings and I don’t work that fast anymore given I have finally learned to stop and smell the roses, or in my case, sand and salt water. lol
So, it is going to be a busy year. I hope your 2023 is successful and filled with laughter, friends and joy.
